Migrant Education

The purpose of the Migrant Education Program is to design and support programs that help migratory students overcome the challenges of mobility, cultural and language barriers, social isolation, and other difficulties associated with a migratory lifestyle. These efforts are aimed at helping migratory students succeed in school and successfully transition to postsecondary education and/or employment.

The Office of Migrant Education includes the latest updates and resources to administer the Title I, Part C Migrant Education Program.

LNA Survey 2024-2025

Deadline to submit all LNA Surveys is November 22, 2024, in order for you to receive the results and tally sheets in a timely manner.
The number of surveys collected should be 10% or 15, whichever number is greater for the Family and Student Survey. For the Staff Survey, 100% of the MEP staff should complete the survey.
There are two ways to disseminate the LNA surveys: paper based or electronically via links provided. The recommendation is that if you are filling out paper surveys these are transferred over to the online version.

The Texas Migrant Family Helpline offers assistance to families by providing service referrals for health care, housing, transportation, and school enrollment. The helpline is available nationwide Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Central Time, and can be reached at (888) 984-6251.
